Two motorcyclists were crushed to death when a speeding dumper truck rammed into their bike on IJP Road near Pirwadhai Mor on Wednesday.
Bilal, 17, and Amir, 45, were riding a motorcycle when the speeding cement-laden dumper truck ran over them, killing both of them. The driver, who could not be identified, fled.
The victims’ relatives had to face an ordeal while lodging an FIR for the incident as the Sabzi Mandi police in Islamabad and the Naseerabad police in Rawalpindi disputed the jurisdiction of the spot where the accident happened.
When the victims’ relatives threatened to block the IJP Road, however, the Naseerabad police agreed to register an FIR. No FIR had been registered till the filing of this report.
