Supreme Court takes notice of girls’ murders on jirga's order

MNA Ghous Bux Mahar presided over the jirga that ordered the killing of the girls for being ‘kari’.

LAKHI GHULAM SHAH: The supreme court on Wednesday took notice of the murder of two girls in Lakhi Ghulam Shah near Shikarpur, allegedly  on an order issued by a jirga, Express News reported.

An FIR has been registered against 20 individuals including Member of National Assembly Ghous Bux Mahar for the Karo Kari killing. It is alleged that MNA Ghous Bux Mahar presided over the jirga that ordered the killing of the girls for being ‘kari’.

The court also ordered IG Sindh to present himself in court.
