JAMRUD:


A hujra was partially destroyed when a bomb planted by unidentified militants exploded near the building in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency on Friday.


Ali Sher Khan, an official of the political administration of Jamrud, said the incident occurred at around 1am on Saturday. A high-intensity bomb planted at the hujra of Haji Haq Nawaz in Gudar was detonated using a remote control. The official said the main gate along with the boundary wall of the structure was destroyed, however, no loss was reported as no one was at the hujra.


Meanwhile, in another incident, militants fired two rockets at a house in Gudar. These destroyed a portion of the house’s boundary wall.The official said the rockets fell on the house of Shah Mehmood Qamber Khel and razed the boundary wall.


After both the incidents, khasadars rushed to the area and launched a search operation but no one was arrested.
