Suicide: Girl hangs herself, woman takes poison

HARIPUR:

Two women killed themselves in different parts of Haripur.

The police said that Ali*, a resident of Sera-e-Saleh, told them his daughter went to sleep in her room on Monday night and did not come down for breakfast the following day.

Ali’s wife went to their daughter’s room to see where she was and found her hanging from the ceiling fan.

The body was taken to Women and Children Hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead.

In an unrelated incident, a mother of two tried to commit suicide by swallowing rat poison after an argument with her husband.

She was also taken to Women and Children Hospital where the doctors referred her to  Ayub Teaching Hospital in Abbottabad. She is said to be in critical condition. *Names have been changed to protect identity
