Famine in Thar
Do the members of the Sindh cabinet have any conscience?
ISLAMABAD:
This refers to your front page report dated March 10 entitled “CM’s dinner akin to a wedding feast”. In 64 AD, the Roman emperor Nero played the fiddle while Rome burnt. Not too long ago, the Sindh government was joyously celebrating Sindh’s culture at the most valuable, historical heritage site of the country, i.e., Moenjo Daro, perhaps causing it irreparable damage, while infants and children were dying in Thar. And now, to top it all, the elite of the Sindh government were enjoying a feast while amidst the miserable situation in Thar. Nero, perhaps driven by his conscience, committed suicide in 66 AD. Do the members of the Sindh cabinet have any conscience?
