Complete shutdown: Khuzdar protests BNP-M leader’s killing

Complete shutter down strike was observed in Khuzdar district against targeted killing of Mir Ataullah Mohammadzai.

QUETTA: A complete shutter down strike was observed in Khuzdar district against the targeted killing of Mir Ataullah Mohammadzai a central leader of Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M). All the shops, commercial establishment and restaurants were closed for the day on the strike call given by BNP-M. The main RCD Highway was closed for the traffic in Wadh area of Khuzdar causing huge traffic snarl-up on the either sides. Mohammadzai was gunned down along with his guard at Chakar Khan Road area of Khuzdar city on Sunday. The Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Abdul Waheed Shah visited the BNP-M leaders in Wadh. After four hours of talks BNP-M opened the highway for traffic.

Why do we allow political parties to shut down public roads? Arrest these trouble makers and create a culture of law and order. Don't just negotiate with them.
