Chief Minister’s Package: Construction of dual carriage begins

3.60 kilometre road would be built from Nishatabad Chowk to the Dry Port in the first phase.

FAISALABAD: The construction of a Faisalabad-Chak Jhumra dual carriageway started on Monday.  The cost of the project is estimated at around Rs168.118 million.

DCO Noorul Amin Mengal, MNA Mian Muhammad Farooq and MPA Azad Ali Tabassum visited the construction site.  The DCO said the construction would be monitored strictly.

He said a 3.60 kilometre road would be built from Nishatabad Chowk to the Dry Port in the first phase.

He said the decision was made keeping in mind the demands of the people of the Chak Jhumra and the industrialists. He said the project had been started under the chief minister’s package.
