Collision: Road accident claims five lives

A speeding Mazda truck crashed into deceased's car

SUKKUR: Five men and women were killed in a road accident near Humayoon grid station situated at Shikarpur-Jacobabad road on Sunday evening.

Abdul Latif Jamali, resident of Dera Murad Jamali, along with his wife, brother and mother had gone to Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, for his mother’s checkup.

On their way back home as they reached at Shikarpur-Jacobabad road near grid station, a speeding Mazda truck crashed into their car. In the accident, the driver Azizullah Manganhar, Abdul Latif’s brother, Abdul Haleem Jamali, his wife Hajra and mother, whose name has yet to be ascertained, were killed on the spot.

Abdul Latif succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital in Larkana. The Mazda truck driver and cleaner managed to escape from the scene, leaving behind the vehicle.
