PESHAWAR: Two people were injured in two separate low-intensity blasts in the city on Sunday.

The first blast occurred early in the morning inside a house in Corporation Colony on Dalazak Road, injuring Gul Hakim and his wife Zeenat Bibi.

Police said the device was thrown into Umar Khan’s house and injured his parents who were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital where their condition was said to be stable.

The second blast occurred in Shaheen Town in the jurisdiction of Tehkal police when unidentified militants lobbed a grenade at Imtiaz Khan’s house.

The device landed on the roof and exploded with a loud bang, causing panic among nearby residents. Police said Imtiaz refused to register an FIR of the incident and told the police he had no enmity with anyone.
