GUJRANWALA: District Coordination Officer Azmat Mehmood said on Sunday that an anti-encroachment team comprising 100 officials would be formed.

He said the squad would carry out raids to remove encroachments in the district.

The DCO said the squad would have 25 workers from each town who would work under the assistant commissioner. He said citizens should cooperate with the government in making this drive successful.

“Strict action will be taken against encroachers who refuse to vacate state owned land,” he added.
