KARACHI: A bomb attack was prevented in the city after the bomb disposal squad’s experts defused another roadside bomb in Orangi Town on Friday noon.

This was the third consecutive attempt of terrorism in this month.  The bomb was found outside the residential building in the Orangi Town’s MPR Colony.

The occupants of the building found suspicious-looking material and immediately informed the police. The law enforcers reached the site, evacuated the building, and called the bomb disposal experts to defuse it.

The experts told The Express Tribune that the bomb weighed around two kilogrammes and it contained ball-bearings. A remote controlled device was attached to detonate the bomb.

“This remote-controlled device was really new for us,” the experts explained. The law enforcers failed to arrest any of the culprits.
