Nisar revealed that judge Awan had suffered three bullet wounds when his guard impulsively fired his weapon as explosions occured nearby.
The Interior Minister made other revelations about the ongoing investigation into the Islamabad court attack that has left 12 dead and 28 injured.
He said that intelligence and security agencies had obtained information on Wednesday night that pointed towards the perpetrators of this incident, however it was too early to say who was behind the attacks with complete confidence.
He conceded, however, that the target of the attack was a judge who coincidentally was not in court that day.
He cautioned members of the Assembly against “rushing to conclusions” as it interferes with ongoing investigations, and assured them that perpetrators will be found and brought to justice.

One can only squeeze the trigger of a pistol if he is in his senses of has the presence of mind and is alert. How could he fire 3 shots when an explosion has taken place. Has the forensic experts confirmed that the bullets that killed the judge was fired by the guard’s pistol? Too hard to digest. The bottom line is that it was total security failure. Ch.Nisar has even failed to protect a high profile person, what about lay man. No trust in his security policy. Shame on PML-N Government

This government is compromised. Wake up Pakistan Army and do something!
@Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar: Additional Session Judge Rafaqat Awan, who was killed in the attack on the district courts in Islamabad on Monday, was shot by his own guards, . Next the Hon. Minister will tell us that the name of the guard was Qadri.
Rehman Malik's ghost still roaming in corridors of power.
I wish Chaudhry sb best of luck for finding at least one audience for his story. My Oscar for best joke of the century goes to him.
Rubbish. Another attempt to protect the real culprits.
