Ied explosion : One offender killed, another injured

SHABQADAR: A suspect was killed and his accomplice was injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Spinkai, a de facto tribal area in Prang Ghar on the Mohmand-Charsadda border.

An official of Mohmand political administration confirmed the incident.

He stated that known offenders Amanullah and his accomplice Nazeer Khan were going to a factory around 8am when an IED, planted on the roadside, exploded.

Amanullah was killed on the spot while Nazeer was severely injured. He was taken to a hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. The official refrained from commenting on what crime the two men were accused of committing.

Tangi police official Noorullah confirmed they were informed about the incident but cannot enter Sinkai as it is considered to be a tribal area where tribesmen hold more of a mandate.
