PESHAWAR:

In light of a Peshawar High Court (PHC) decision and directives of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Khyber Medical University (KMU) on Monday adjusted 100 students from Al-Razi Medical College across six private medical colleges of the province.

A few weeks ago while reviewing the petition of Al-Razi Medical College, a PHC division bench comprising Chief Justice Mian Fasihul Mulk and Justice Qaiser Rashid upheld an earlier decision regarding adjusting 109 medical students of the varsity in other colleges of the province.

Even after winning the legal battle against the Al-Razi Medical College, students were confronting various issues in being accommodated by other colleges.

According to a statement issued by KMU on Monday, the names of medical students were sent to six private medical colleges for adjustment in their programmes after PMDC’s directions.

It added the students will be placed at Kabir Medical College, Peshawar; Peshawar Medical College, Warsak Road; Pak International Medical College; Rehman Medical College; Jinnah Medical College, Peshawar; and the Frontier Medical College in Abbottabad.
