In solidarity: Court proceedings come to a halt
Lawyers boycott proceedings at hundreds of courts in the city.
KARACHI:
Legal work came to a halt as the lawyers boycotted proceedings at hundreds of courts in the city on Monday to protest the murder of a district and sessions judge and killing of other people in Islamabad on Monday morning. Several cases fixed at the Sindh High Court, the City Courts and the Malir district courts could not be taken up as the members of the legal fraternity did not turn up to plead them. The Sindh High Court Bar Association has called for a general body meeting of its members on Tuesday over the incident.
