RAWALPINDI:

Residents of the twin cities will have a massive new marketplace to frequent, especially if they live in the housing estates along Islamabad Highway.

The 60,000-square-foot Green Valley Super Market was inaugurated in Bahria Town on Sunday by the housing scheme’s chairman Malik Riaz. The Bahria Town administration will also construct a customer care centre on 100 kanals, which will be completed in one-and-a-half years.

Riaz inaugurated the former and laid the foundation stone for the latter during a ceremony organised by the Bahria Town administration, with a number of families from the twin cities in attendance.

The supermarket will be constructed in phase 8, where shoppers will be able to buy fruits and vegetables, imported grocery items, bakery items, toys, electronics, stationery and other quality equipment of daily use under one roof.

Speaking at the ceremony, Riaz said 2,000 jobs will be created by the Green Valley project. He added that the corporate care centre will provide residents with all kinds of facilities under the one roof.
