KARACHI: The Sindh government has imposed a ban on motorcycles in the 24 Union Councils of Gadap and Orangi Towns where the anti-polio campaign is to be conducted today. According to a notification issued by the home department, the anti-polio campaign will be conducted between 8 am and 6pm while strict security measures have been put in place. According to the in-charge of the provincial chapter of the Expanded Programme on Immunisation, Mazhar Khamisani, the government has decided not to make public announcements regarding the campaign given the security threats. “The ban has been imposed in the most sensitive areas where our team will continue the work to ensure that every child is immunised,” said Khamisani.
