Sadiq has asked Dasti to meet him in chamber on March 3 with all the evidence he has.
On February 27, Dasti had stunned fellow parliamentarians when he had said that liquor worth millions of rupees was supplied in the parliament lodges and that a pungent smell of hashish engulfs the area.
“Girls are brought in the lodges and dance parties [take place],” Dasti had alleged, claiming that he has evidence in the form of video footage of mujras taking place in the lodges.
There are 359 suites in the Parliament Lodges, 83 of which are reserved for members of the Senate, while the other 276 are for MNAs.
'Allegations are baseless'
While addressing the National Assembly today, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan stated that the allegations levelled by Jamshed Dasti were baseless as it was not possible for the 'immoral activities' to go undetected in the parliament lodges because of the security apparatus in place.
He also said there were 23 cameras in place at the entrance and exit points and it was impossible for such activities to take place.
Nisar further stated that since respectable families of parliamentarians including children also live in these parliament lodges, these 'immoral activities' cannot take place there.
Will provide evidence
Dasti, while to speaking to the media in Islamabad, said that he will present the evidence regarding the "immoral activities" in the Parliament lodges in front of the speaker of the National Assembly in chamber.
He also said that he does not have any personal enmity against anyone, adding that he does not need cheap popularity.

He has the right to feel pain for such a serious matter. No one should criticize him rather should give him support to unveil the people involved. All opposing him have directly or indirectly involved in the situation being talked about ( Mujra and other activities) I believe that such things exist because of which Pakistan is on the way of destruction.

This is a major problem in a city which is the epi centre of CIA and other foreign intelligence units. Pakistan needs to follow Iranian practice of creating a special police force which oversees the moral behaviour of the peoples representative legislators instead of blespheming the poor non muslim members of the community. We have currently a scadal in Germany about a legislator who is accused of ordering nude photos of children from Canad.

@Asif Maalik: I also beg to differ from your opinion that every one has the right to indulge in immoral activities in solitude. Yes to a certain extent it is true because we are all answerable for our hidden or revealed acts to Allah. But not these politicians they are also answerable to this nation who send them to the Parliament for better or worse.
There can be 123 cameras and they will all be turned off when immoral activities are to be started. If the roots are infected by fungus, the leaves will be rotten. EC and SC appointed RO' are the one who brought these corrupt and incompetent poliicians to the parliament. These MNA's did not attend parliament for making laws or discussion as the PM never bother to discuss issues in parliament. He, the PM, like to play jehan panah and just ordered things perhaps he discusses his family members. The point is when the boss is away the mice play.

@Jibran: Impeachment is not what we are talking here; it happened because Clinton lied and was playing games with the truth. That said, the reality is that it was his affair with Lewinsky that I referred to, not the impeachment. Regardless of what Clinton did, the point here is that our leaders are responsible for all their deeds, private or public. They can be even asked about the source of the money that paid for the clothes on their backs.
This is nothing new. No one mentioning what Dr SHahid Masood said on TV. An indian actress was paid one million dollars to perform at a private party in Pakistan. Jamshed Dasti just wants cheap publicity. Its one's personal and private matter what he does in his room as long as no one else is disturbed.

I think Pakistanis have hit the self-destruct button. Agreed, these things have to be stopped. But for an MP to talk about it in an open forum only ruins the image of Pakistan. Why is there so much anger against each other? As it is, Pakistan has some serious existential challenges.
The reality is that brothels at all levels of our society do exist and that bootleggers peddle all sorts of alcohol all over Pakistan, specially Islamabad. Booz leaks out of the Marriott and the assorted embassies all over Islamabad, and has so for years.
When they are getting an all paid holiday package with a fat paycheck to spend than what else can you expect from them.

I have lived 100 yds away from these lodges for first 24 years of my life, I have been inside the lodges for free medical treatment and I can attest that the street perception is the same as Dasti. When inside I could always smell cigarette and misc tobacco smoke everywhere. The air was mysterious and suspicious. Personally did not witness any dance parties but then I was never inside the rooms, only lobbies and people who have been inside the rooms as waiters and cleaners would say that Dasti is not even covering half of what happens there and this I am talking about early 90s, can only imagine what happens now.
This country has no entertainment. Our minds have been indoctrinated. There is no outlet for clean healthy entertainment. We pretend to be holier than thou, we pretend to be puritans, we pretend to be pure, as the name of this country suggests. All humans have "feelings",emotions, we think of the west as being immoral, but the west provides outlets for its citizens, for all its citizens, men, women, children. We wish to hide, we wish to pretend, we cannot discuss. Lots of subjects are simply taboo. So is it not better to simply become more honest with our own feelings, be honest that we need entertainment, diversions. A society which is open, which is more honest with its own feelings, which addresses human nature, is a far better society than one that pretends. When we get rid of our hypocrisy, bigotry, double standards, and become more honest with ourselves, we will be better of.
Jamshed Dasti's allegation must be investigated by a neutral non-parliamentarian committee to stop any sort of malpractice in future.

The same old game of vilifying politics and politicians has again started. First Altaf Hussain absurdly calls for martial law which is followed by Jamshed Dasti alleging the party culture at the Parliament Lodges. It is a very old and tested trick - present the politicians as weak, meek and morally and financially corrupt . Remember the ghost written books - parliament say baza-e-husn tak!

Mr. Jamshed Dasti himself was the guilty in the fake degree case, was it not immortal, so how can he raise his finger to others whom activities done privately has nothing to do with the parliamentarian affairs and national interest. Mr. Dasti belongs to the southern Punjab which is a safe haven for jehadi outfits, so while the national assembly was discussing the national security policy to meet the challenges of terrorism; he pleaded an issue which has no importance. In my humble view he deliberately tried to divert the attention from the core issue to help jehadis indirectly.
