No show at court: Warrants issued for Akmal playing in BD
Warden claims player had violated a traffic signal and became violent when issued a ticket.
LAHORE:
A judicial magistrate on Thursday issued bailable arrest warrants for cricketer Umar Akmal in the traffic warden beating case. The warden claimed that the player had violated a traffic signal and became violent when issued a ticket. The cricketer, currently on bail, was ordered to appear on Thursday, however, he did not turn up and the magistrate issued warrants directing the police to present Akmal before the court on March 11. Akmal is presently in Bangladesh to play Asia Cup.
