Batting first, the South Africans, who had won the toss, posted a score of 230 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Clyde Fortuin was the top run-getter for his team as the opener scored 74 off 92 balls.
Captain Aiden Markram, who scored a hundred in the quarter-final against Afghanistan, chipped in with 45 runs.
In reply, the Australians, who have won the tournament three times, got off to a horrible start. South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada rocked the top-order with three quick wickets in his six-over opening spell.
Rabada did not stop there though; the right-arm pacer returned in his second spell to mop-up the tail, finishing with incredible figures of six for 25.
Jake Doran was the top scorer for the Aussies who folded for 150 runs in the 43rd over of the match, handing the Proteas a thumping 80-run win.
The South Africans are now one step away from winning their first major ICC trophy in both junior and senior cricket.

Big3 will self qualify to play semis, so the remaining cricket playing nations will play for the fourth remaining position to make two semi finals. Irony would be that nobe of the Big3 will ever win a tournament!!!
