Crimes: Two killed in separate incidents

TAXILA: A man and a woman were killed in two separate incidents in Taxila during the last 24 hours. In the first incident, a newly-married woman was allegedly killed by her husband under unexplained circumstances in Banni Mohalla. The deceased’s brother lodged a report with the local police stating his sister Naheed Akhtar, who had been married for two months, allegedly died after being fed poisoned food by her husband, Akhtar Javed, after a family dispute. Meanwhile, a labourer in Taxila was crushed to death by a truck while he was loading gravel into it. Hussain was found underneath the wheels of the truck (Z-9877) near Margalla Hills, the police said. Zulqarnain lodged a report with the local police stating the fatal accident took place due to the negligence of the driver.
