KATLANG:


A bomb explosion partially damaged the main gate and boundary wall of a house owned by an army official in Charchor on Tuesday night. Fortunately, there was no loss of life.


Katlang police SHO Ameeruddin said one kilogramme of explosives, planted near the house of Pakistan Army Captain Muhammad Altaf, went off at around 10pm. As a result, the main gate of the house was damaged along with a portion of the boundary wall.


Police formed a special team and after collecting evidence from the site, launched a search. An FIR has been registered against unidentified militants.


Altaf’s father Fazal Muhammad told the police he had been receiving threats from unidentified people since the past few days. No one claimed responsibility for the attack and no arrests were made till this report was filed.
