“Iranian border guards fired two mortar shells which landed and exploded near Peshuk checkpost in Pangur,” an official in Panjgur confirmed and said it has become a common practice by Iranian guards even after the issue was taken up with the Iranian foreign mission in Pakistan.
The official on the condition of anonymity further revealed that Iranian border guards had fired five rockets in the same area on Monday but it wasn’t reported given the sensitivity of the relationship with Iran and Pakistan. “There was no loss of life in those explosions,” he said.
The bombings took place less than a week after Iran and Pakistan set up a joint border committee to counter cross-border terrorism and specifically take measures to secure the release of the five Iranian border guards who were recently abducted near the Pakistani border.
The committee formed by the commission, comprises of officials from both sides, to review any incident of border violation and provide a mechanism to monitor elements that create trouble across the border. The committee will present its recommendation to the commission.

Yes, you are right.The Genetic mix that makes modenr day Pakistanis are IRanian Scythians, in India it is called Saka. Its not proper Iranian, proper Iranians(Medes-Persians) live in the plains, Baloch in the bordering areas and the Sakas-Mlecchas(Sogdanians/Sarmatians/Scythians) used to live in the Mountains of Iran who later stream down into the Indus Valley and occupy it, because the Indus was abandoned due to drought, by the Indians, who had various other options like Ganges, Cauvery, Brahmaputra etc.Point being, vacate back to Iran, leave the Indus back to Hindus.
@Zaid Hamid: What is so strange in that? Haven't Iran and Iraq fought for a decade? Aren't Islamic proxies fighting in Syria, Lebanon and other parts of the Middle East?
@Ahmed: Should Pakistan not reign in it's non state actors who don't respect sanctity of borders first? You must first worry at the situation on Eastern, Western, SW and NE borders with all 4 countries who have expressed their concern. As regards building gas pipeline, it is Iran which was funding up to a billion $ on your part of the investment. But you need constant doles from the US and Saudi. Better stop playing proxies in Afghanistan, India and now Syria and you would be fine.

Pakistan needs set aside the Sunni Shia issues and form an alliance with those who are our kin rather than the Arabs.

Pakistan should do all it can to maintain neutrality in Syria and not join the Saudi camp. No amount of money would be worth serious internal problems it would create, that may ultimately lead to disintegration of the country itself.
Saudi Crown Prince is visiting India also. Let us see what India does. Hope they act sensibly and keep out of the Syrian conflict. It will be foolish for India to take any side in this conflict.

It seems Iran is trying to send message to Pakistan after Saudi prince visit and cancellation of Iran gas pipeline project.
Do they thinking firing shots at us will make us build the pipeline any quicker? Surely that'll only stall the process further. It's a neighbouring Muslim country- much more friendly compared with India it should act with maturity and respect our borders as we do theirs. Delicate matters should be dealt with diplomacy through the new elected governments of Tehran and Islamabad.
