Bollywood stars maintain family ties after divorce

In the sub-continent, we end up marrying their family as well, that is how it works in Bollywood too.

Bollywood super hero, Hrithik Roshan separated from wife Sussanne Khan in December 2013, but that didn’t hold him back from spending his birthday, which was on January 10, in the company of Sussanne’s sister Farah Ali, her kids, and his own sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan.

Moreover, on Valentine’s Day weekend, Hrithik flew to Mumbai to spend time with his sons. He also spent quality time with Sussanne’s parents. Sussanne’s mother, Zarine Khan and sister, Farah are both extremely hopeful of a reunion of the former couple. It is strange that while Hrithik was spending time with Sussanne’s parents on Valentine’s Day, she was in New Delhi for a furniture show. Later, over the same weekend, she was reportedly spotted at a nightclub, hanging out with some friends. The couple has shown no signs of reconciliation, however, Hrithik continues to stay married to his in-laws and claims that he will always love Sussanne, she is the love of his life, reports Times of India.

Duggu is not the only one who propagates this yours-mine-ours theory. By Aamir Khan’s own admission, his second wife Kiran is very friendly with his children, 21-year-old Junaid, and teenage daughter, Ira, from his first marriage. His estranged wife Reena also shares a friendly equation with Aamir’s mother and his sisters.

Similarly, Kareena Kapoor Khan is happy to spend time with Saif Ali Khan’s children, Sara and Ibrahim, from his first marriage to Amrita Singh. There are occasions when the children come and stay with Bebo and Saif at their Bandra residence. In fact, Saif and Kareena even invite Karisma Kapoor’s children for a bonding session and the kids have a play date of sorts together. Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata and daughter Trishala Dutt don’t share the friendliest stepmother and stepdaughter relationship; but both of them make sincere efforts and go out of their way to keep in touch because of their love for Sanjay Dutt.

Then there are others like Soni Razdan, who has a decent relationship with step daughter Pooja Bhatt, her husband Mahesh Bhatt’s first-born from his previous marriage. They even plan on taking their association a few notches up professionally by doing a project together in the future. The title of the best stepmother, however, goes to Shabana Azmi, who treats her husband Javed Akhtar’s children Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar, from his previous marriage as her own children. She never fails to shower praise on them and takes a sense of pride in all their achievements.
