KRL held to a goalless draw

Karachi teams dominate Pakistan Premier League as PIA defeats Pel 2-1 and KESC beat PMC Athletico by the same score.

KARACHI: Karachi teams dominated the Pakistan Premier League as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) defeated Pakistan Elecktron Limited (Pel) 2-1 and Karachi Electricity Supply Corporation (KESC) beat PMC Athletico by an identical score.

PIA took an early lead against Pel in the 14th minute through Shakil Lashari before it was doubled by Nazeer Ahmed in the 26th minute. Riaz Ahmed then netted the only goal for Pel as PIA retained the third spot in the league.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Moosa scored the opener for KESC but Haroon Yousuf scored the equaliser in the 51st minute before Muhammad Rasool sealed the victory for KESC just five minutes later.

In other matches, Khan Research Laboratories drew against Baloch Football Club 0-0 and Pakistan Navy beat Sui Southern Gas Corporation 6-0.
