The explosion took place near the gate of Mela Ground. The bomber reportedly intended to enter the stadium.
Security forces have cordoned off the area. Police said that bomber was around 13 years old and walked towards the gate before blowing up the explosives.
An annual carnival is due to take place inside the stadium in a few days.
Express News reported that this is the first suicide attack in Sibi.

First Bangladesh, then FATA, then Baluchistan and in the future Karachi. If we don't address concerns and rights violations then this is bound to happen.

For all those commenting about not getting due rights, yes, Baloch people never got their fair share. But, what have your Baloch leaders, politicians, MNAs/MPAs done to counter this problem ? No doubt, Baloch people got much less share of development than other provinces, but if your own landlords dont let your children study, is that even Punjab's mistake ? I feel really bad for my Baloch brothers and sisters, they never got their rights fulfilled by any government till date, but dont blame everything on Punjab. Baloch people dont even get anything from the money that is actually given to Balochistan governments. Your Baloch leaders eat that all up. So before blaming Punjab, you should make sure you bring honest MNAs/MPAs to take care of your constituency. Dont tell me that Balochistan gets nothing, they always get something (which is definitely not enough), but even that doesnot reach the Baloch public. Unfortunately.
Balochistan is going to get worse and worse until the consulates in Afg are operating. No amount of operation in Balochistan can stop the insurgency because the training campes are funded and operated from outside Pakistan.
