Gas pipeline explosion in Ghotki kills 2, injures 2 others

GHOTKI: A 36-inch gas pipeline of the Qadirpur gas field exploded in the Mir Kosh area of Ghotki district resulting in the death of two people early on Wednesday, Express News reported.

The deceased were identified as security guards of the gas pipeline. Two villagers also sustained injuries due to the explosion and were taken to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.

According to the managing director of Sui Northern Gas Company Arif Hameed, the gas pipeline will be repaired in 24 hours.

Rescue teams from Ghotki, Rahim Yar Khan and Guddu carried out the relief work.

Emergency was declared in the gas field area and as the plant was closed, gas supply was suspended to different areas of Punjab and Sindh as well as the Potohar region.

According to your logic, Punjab and sind should their water, use it and then sell the remaining to baluchistan on international prices. KPK should stop the electricity first use it and remaining should be sold to Baluchistan on international price.
