Butt, head of the PCB between 2008-11, made the comment as he came out of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore after a meeting with current chairman Najam Sethi to discuss the structural changes at the International Cricket Council (ICC) ruling body.
Pakistan abstained from voting in favour of the changes at an ICC meeting in Singapore earlier this month, and has opposed the reforms which effectively hand control of world cricket to India, Australia and England.
Asked on live television what he thought about the 'Big Three' boards, Butt made a controversial reference to them.
A PCB official reacted speedily to Butt's remark by saying: "It's his opinion not the board's. We have no more comment to make".
Butt added that Pakistan now needed to safeguard their own interests in world cricket. "Every board is looking after its own interests and that is what we also must do," he said.
Sethi has been meeting former heads of the PCB on the 'Big Three' issue after taking over as chairman last week. He has made it clear that Pakistan will be reviewing their stance on the ICC changes.

@vasan:
Yeah...and what about Indira Gandhi :"We have avenged our 1000 year defeat" after east pakistan defeat.
and Vajpayee after Gujarat riots: "Pehle train kisne jalaee".
You know...I can dedicate a whole website to what Indian political leaders have said and that also when they were head of the state.
This is called putting the foot in their mouth. It has always been Pakistani culture to talk big and without a care/decency. Few quotable quotes are 1. "Idhar hum, udhaar thum" 2. I will break the legs of MNAs who attend the assembly in Dhaka 3. What is a constitution, It is only a piece of paper, I can tear it any time 4. Women are ready to get raped to migrate to Canada or any western country 5. One muslim soldier is equal to 10 hindu soldiers
There are many more. Butt follows the culture of his leaders. Pity Pakistan. ET : pl publish as all the quotes are by Pakistani leaders only.
Shortly after the Pakistani cricketers were caught red handed for 'spot fixing', he was warned by his lawyers and apologized to the ICC when he was chairman PCB. Mr. Sethi will have to be very careful if he wants to make progress in inviting international cricket to Pakistan or play elsewhere. Nevertheless, PCB must not invite him to any PCB functions, ever. In FACT, he has done monolithic damage to Pakistan cricket and now again, he has opened his gutter mouth. Frankly, he must again be made to apologize publicly and knowing the filthy Pakistani culture of no questions asked, it won't be surprising if he romps away happily. Salams
Butt left nothing in destroying Pakistan cricket! Sri Lankan team was attacked when he was the Chairman. Now he issues such childish, immature remarks, on the other hand is Zaka Ashraf who not only lost the case but has been issuing similar statements. And not to mention Mr. Sethi who says (in the video) if the ICC wants our vote they need to listen to us(?!) Mr Sethi, the big 3 don't need your vote anymore, it is the other way round.
Makes you wonder how much damage favoritism, safarshi culture has done to Pakistan. They can't even address media conferences decently, they have to meet representatives from other countries, how embarrassing! No wonder we are isolated and have no say in world matters with such uncultured people at the helm.
His comments are not halal! ;)
@honda:
