Opposing privatisation: Unions to mull joint strategy

Pros and cons of privatisation of national institutions to be discussed by leaders of trade and labour unions.

KARACHI: The leaders of trade and labour unions from across the country will discuss the pros and cons of privatisation of national institutions at Karachi Press Club on February 22. The convention, titled ‘National Labour Conference’, will make a joint strategy against the privatisation of the national institutions, said Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General, Liaquat Baloch. The attendees include unionists from the Pakistan International Airlines, Pakistan Steel Mills and Sui Southern Gas Company.
