ISLAMABAD: Active participation of women across all social sectors was critical for the sustainable development of the country, Minister for Planning and Development Professor Ahsan Iqbal said talking to Katherine Russell, Ambassador at Large US Embassy for Global Women’s Issues on Thursday. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to ensure 50% participation of women in Youth Loan Scheme. “Women’s participation is growing in all fields,” he said. Iqbal gave details about plans for women empowerment as envisioned in vision 2025.
