Terror attack foiled: Two suspects sent on physical remand

Police believe that 2 suspects were amateurs and were trying to prepare bombs to carry out terrorist attack.

ISLAMABAD: A local court on Thursday sent two suspected terrorists on four-day physical remand. The police had arrested the suspects from the Tarnol area on Wednesday. According to the police, the two suspects were arrested from a house in the Ittefaq Colony in Tarnol. The police also claimed to have recovered around five kg of explosives, detonating cord and wires from the house. The suspects have been identified as Daud Khan, a resident of Mardan and Hassan Khan, a resident of Bajaur Agency. The police sought help the bomb disposal squad to defuse a bomb recovered from the house. Police believe that the two suspects were amateurs and were trying to prepare bombs to carry out a terrorist attack. A case has already been registered against them at the Tarnol Police Station.
