Karachi killing: Air force technician gunned down

Police officials say personal enmity cannot be ruled out but it is too early to jump to conclusions.

KARACHI: A technician working for the Pakistan Air Force was shot dead in an act of targeted killing in the Orangi Town locality within Mominabad police remits on Saturday night. Asgharf Ajab Khan, 32, was serving at the PAF in Peshawar. SHO Ahmed Butt told The Express Tribune that victim’s wife was staying with her parents in Orangi Town for the last two months and he had come from Peshawar to take her home. The incident took place when he was standing near to his in-laws’ home. Police officials did not rule out personal enmity but said it was too early to jump to conclusion. In another incident a man associated with MQM died during treatment at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Saturday evening. Police officials said that Zahid Lehri was wounded along with his friend, Imran and two passers-by identified as Yousuf and Rashid late on Friday night  by unidentified persons in a market in Khawaja Ajmair Nagri locality.
