High security arrangements were put in place by the local administration on different routes in the garrison city on Friday for former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf ahead of his expected appearance before a special court in Islamabad.
As part of the security plan, three separate routes were designed to provide Musharraf protection as more then 1,100 police cops were deputed in addition to elite force commandoes and rangers personnel.
The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) checked the surroundings of the AFIC with sniffer dogs and scanners.
