FAISALABAD: Four people were injured on Tuesday when some guests at a wedding in Toba Tek Singh fired shots in the air. Saddar police said the incident happened at Muhammad Irshad’s daughter’s wedding in Chak 323-JB. They said shortly after the bridegroom and his family arrived at the venue, some of his relatives and friends started firing in the air, hitting four people. Police believe that the men who fired were inebriated. The injured, identified as Ali Ahmad, Ali Raza, Bushra Ishaaq and Muhammad Asad, were taken to the district headquarters hospital, where doctors treating them later said that they were out of danger. The Saddar station house officer said police had yet to receive a complaint. He said he believed that the bride’s family did not want to prosecute.
