@HSMatey: Just to clarify your concern. We won the 'Best International Delegation Award' at Harvard MUN 2014 so that is indeed categorised as 'winning the MUN', here's the link for sceptics like 'Lies', who don't believe this: http://www.harvardmun.org/
I was one of the people to receive the honourable mention award so I know. Live and let live. Cheers :)
So the heading of the article is totally false. You didn't actually win the entire Harvard MUN as the heading suggests but the best international delegates award. Congrats on the achievement, more can you tell us what did you actually have to'compete'in and who were your competitors. How many events were there? Like ZERO:-)...wasn't it just like a best employee or best teacher award where you don't really compete but are awarded for being nice :-)....
My Son will be proud to be a Lyceumite
Firstly there is no competition at the MUN, its a program to get diverse students together for a retreat. I don't know where did Lyceum get the idea that they 'won' something. Please check out the MUN page yourself it is just a Model United Nations for Gods sake. This reminds me of that fake Microsoft prodigy from Faisalabad who said he was one of the 49 people who invented Windows and talks to Bill Gates for 10 minutes every day...lol...so much for trying to get publicity Lyceum, there are much better ways...e.g. actually winning something and not just sending rich kids to these retreats trying to portray it as some award or competition. You can fool some people some time but not all the people all the time :)
OK now we are under pressure to win some good awards in WorldMUN :D . Congrats to Lyceum, such activities like MUN and parliamentary debates must be promoted around the country specially in the metric board system.
This is all lies. Show us the press release web link from Harvard MUN
There's a difference between winning the best international school award, and winning the MUN!
Heartiest of congratulations to the team, that is really great !! Proud to be a Pakistani
It is really a Proud Moment for the whole Pakistani Nation and it makes me feel so great that Pakistani kids have guts and courage and they are the great kids and they deserve to be great. I am also proud to mention my cousins name Usman Malik who won this award and makes the whole family proud, I also thanks to all those bright and brilliant kids who participated in this competition and bring the big name for Pakistan. Keep up the good work. Special thanks to Parents who spent days and nights for their kids to become a shinning star.
Congratulation, This is a good news. However, being unaware of the purpose of this event, would anyone like to elaborate the purpose of this event and tell us that how we manage to beat everyone
Feel so proud of you guys! Congrats!!! Lyceum students are destined for greatness!
A Very Proud moment for the whole Nation. Seeing so much of downfall in our land but on the other hand these bright students are the fresh air to breath and makes us thoughtful that its still hope here..still we can touch the skies..still we have the potential to beat and make ourselves shine in thousands.Bravo to the Faculty, students and the parents who put their efforts to prove them.
Heartiest of congratulations to the team. Pakistani people can work wonders - given the opportunity. And, love Lyceum to the moon and back. God, how I miss that place.
Thank you! Love from University of Toronto's MUN team!
@Norman: I don't think KGS has the money to send kids to America for competitions. I would not be surprised if KGS was not present.
Congradulations but UN is useless nuissance. No need to attend simulation or Model Useless Nuissance. There is annoyance we can put up with, we have to stop putting up with a rubber stamped organization that works for post-colonial era imperialistic hegemony.
Proud of them
Heartiest congratulations on wining such a prestigious accolade. You people have made all Pakistani proud. Keep Pakistan name up.
So much for KGS hype!
Way to go Lyceum, Many Congratulations!! You made us proud :)
Congratulations!
My Best Wishes for all!
Way to go!
Godspeed!
Proud to be a Lyceumite!
Way to go....congrats Lyceum School Pakistan on winning the prestigious Harvard MUN 2014. Pakistan have some of the best school system in the world apart from Lyceum like the 'Beacon house' and 'City school' system.
