Unnecessary holdup: Leasing body urges govt to keep promise

'Smile' reminded the Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday about the land promised by the Sindh government to them.

KARACHI: The Small Medium Industrial Leasing Estates Private Ltd (Smile) reminded the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Sunday about the land promised by the Sindh government to them. Smile chairperson Zulfikar Thaver said that the company was invited to apply for 500 acres of land for building an industrial estate and the Sindh Board of Revenue scrutiny committee had not only approved the plan but also highly recommended the setting up of 500 industries on the estate. The 500 industries are to include foodstuff, light engineering and the estate would have banking, insurance, leasing, logistics, fire brigade and communication facilities.
