Ruthless murders: Father, son killed for resisting robbers

Armed robbers broke into house in Haripur by scaling the boundary wall while the inmates were sleeping.

HARIPUR: A man and his son were shot dead for allegedly resisting robbers at their house in Haripur on Friday. Police sources said that armed robbers broke into the house of Wali Muhammad by scaling its boundary wall while the inmates were sleeping. While they were looting cash and valuables from the house, Wali Muhammad his son, Waheed Ahmed, woke up and tried to overpower them. The robbers opened fire and fled on two motorcycles. Wali and Ahmed suffered bullet injuries and died on the spot. The deceased were handed over to the family after legal formalities, said an official. A double murder case has been registered against the robbers but no arrests have been made so far.
