Maalkhana Explosion: Cop remanded for attack on colleague
The magistrate, Zeeshan Manzoor, remanded the suspect to police custody till February 4.
KARACHI:
A police inspector has been remanded to custody for allegedly attempting to murder his subordinate. Sub-inspector Sohrab Marri had registered an FIR No. 6/2014, under Sections 324 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, at the City Courts police station. He said that he had recently assumed the charge of the maalkhana for District Central. When he sought details of the seized articles kept in the storeroom, former in-charge inspector Abdul Aziz attempted to kill him by throwing a detonator. City courts police presented Aziz before the court on Saturday. The magistrate, Zeeshan Manzoor, remanded the suspect to police custody till February 4.
