Hit-and-run: Man killed, five injured

ARIFWALA: An old man was killed and five others were injured on Wednesday when a bus hit a motorcycle-rickshaw on Arifwala-Qabula Road. Police said Qabula-bound motorcycle-rickshaw from Arifwala was rammed into a bus driving from the opposite direction near Chak 35/EB. Baba Muhammad Fazil, 75, died on the spot. Five people, identified as QingQi driver Ghulam Ghaus, Nasir Ahmed, Muhammad Rafi, Rani Bibi and Noor Elahi, were seriously injured. They were taken to the Arifwala tehsil headquarters hospital. The body of the deceased was sent to the Qabula rural health centre. The bus driver fled.
