After bail cancellation: Forest official arrested for torching house

Saghir filed a case stating that officer Gul along with his aides barged into his house and burnt the place.

SHANGLA: A sub-divisional forest officer in Palis, Kohistan was arrested from the court’s premises for allegedly torching a house in Kohistan. Javaid Khan, an official of the Patan police, said on December 10 last year, Saghir Khan filed a case stating that officer Gul Faraz Khan along with his aides barged into his house and burnt the place, destroying the entire structure. The police official said Gul had received bail before arrest but on Wednesday, Sessions Judge Sardar Muhammad Irshad Khan while hearing the case ordered the officer’s arrest and canceled his bail. The official added that Gul had allegedly had a verbal dispute with Saghir a day before the incident and was incarcerated at the Patan police station under Section 436 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
