Khurshid, while speaking during a meeting with visiting Pakistani media delegation in New Delhi, said that the two neighbouring countries must do away with their old thinking and look to new ways for resolution of problems and achieving lasting peace in the region.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif appeared to be sincere in improving relations with India. The visit by Shahbaz Sharif - chief Minister of Punjab state - to India has given a new impetus to bilateral ties.
The minister stressed on the need for new perspectives on all issues between the two countries, including the water issue.
Khurshid further said that bilateral trade between India and Pakistan must be given a boost in order to meet the needs for both countries.

He does not speak for India any more, He is a member of a lame-duck government. Even his PM cannot make any such commitment.
Nice joke, we all know it's never going to happen. And that too coming from a minister who has got 2 more months in his office makes it even more funny.
Strategic move that makes perfect sense. In order for pipeline to be plausible Pakistan has to address and resolve the terrorist issue which benefits India and everyone in the region/world - otherwise a pipeline is just a multi-Billion $ target.
