Victoria Justice and Camilla Alves do justice to single-coloured dresses.

The beauties at the premiere.

We have our fashion magnifying glass out and we like what we see! Come rain or shine in the world of fashion, long dresses in vivid hues are here to stay! And no one has recently done justice to single-coloured dresses like celebrities Victoria Justice and Camila Alves.

The two looked fabulous as they strutted on the red carpet of the 2014 MusiCares’ Person of the Year Gala, and the Dallas Buyers Club premiere in Rome, respectively. Here’s a deconstruction of their looks.

Camila Alves

Hair and make-up:

The model-designer certainly knows how to work a red carpet look. She lined her eyes with a fine black liner and shaded them in bronze. She wore a subtle shade of light brown blush on her cheeks and brownish orange lip colour.

Outfit:

The ravisher wore a Kaufmanfranco Spring 2014 orange satin one-shoulder dress featuring a dramatic draped detailing on the shoulder and a side slit. Though slightly ill-fitted, she worked the look with her oozing charm. Her husband, actor Matthew McConaughey may be bagging awards left, right and centre this season, but Alves is the indisputable winner on the red carpet.

Accessories and shoes:

We would’ve loved to see the diva sport a glimmer necklace, but she kept the accessories to a bare minimum. She carried a beige Christian Louboutin clutch and wore matching orange Oscar Tive sandals.

Hair and make-up:

Now, isn’t she a sight for sore eyes? The Make It Shine singer flaunted her glossy tresses. Her radiant skin doesn’t require too many tools. She defined her eyes with heavy mascara and dark eye shadow. The rest of her make-up choices were subtle; she wore light pink blush on her cheeks and pale-coloured lip gloss. And gee, that smile!

Outfit:

The singer-actor sported a Michael Costello neon pink scuba-halter gown that fit her like a glove. The gown enhanced her curves and draped fabulously. Since colour blocking has been the prevalent fashion fad, many may shrug off her look as safe. But we think that her look was a total knockout on the red carpet.

Accessories and shoes:

Justice wore Effy rings and Vita Fede bracelets. The diva carried a black and silver Kotur clutch. We’re not big fans of the steel grey nail colour and what seem to be un-manicured nails. Although not visible in the photograph, she wore Aldo shoes.
