NEW DELHI: India has called upon Pakistan to share information about the antecedents of those who attempted to smuggle drugs in the trucks that ply across the Line of Control (LoC) and said trade must not be disrupted because of a few drug smugglers. Trade along the LoC is suspended after India caught trucks coming through Uri carrying drugs. “Over the last two weeks, India has repeatedly emphasised to Pakistan to allow the full resumption of travel and trade across the LoC and to hold an immediate meeting of the Trade Facilitation Officers at Kaman so that both sides can exchange information with regard to the narcotic seizures that have been made,” said a spokesperson from the Indian ministry of external affairs.
