Man arrested for killing wife, her ‘robber boyfriend’

A man shot dead his wife and a robber, he believed was having an affair with his wife, on Tuesday, police said. Police said some robbers entered Dr Saeed’s house in Shujabad in his absence.


They said when he returned home and found his wife in a room with one of the robbers, later identified as Muhammad Siraj.

He shot him, while his accomplices fled.

Dr Saeed then shot his wife, whom he had suspected of having an affair with the deceased.

Dr Saeed was arrested, who, the police said, confessed to the crime. He told police that he believed that his wife had called the men home.

Triple murder

In Faisalabad, police said, a rivalry claimed three lives on Tuesday.

Two of those killed were brothers, police said.

Jaranwala Saddar police said Yaseen Qadeer, 36, his brother Nawaz Qadeer, 34, and their friend Haris Jug, 30, were asleep in a dera in Chak 362-GB near Chakko Mor on Jaranwala Road, when unidentified assailants shot them and fled.

The three died on the spot.

Police said a woman of the Qadeer family found the bodies when she went to the dera to milk the cows.

Police were informed and the bodies were sent to tehsil headquarters hospital for post-mortem examination.

The station house officer said that initial investigations revealed that the murders were a result of an old enmity. He said the police were investigating the case.
