Karachi police arrest 3 suspected target killers

Two suspects are said to be involved in more than 100 street crimes and two murders.

KARACHI: Karachi police on Tuesday arrested three suspects accused of target killings and street crimes, Express News reported.

Two of the arrests were made during raids in the New Karachi and Surjani Town areas. Police seized weapons, money and seven mobile phones from the possession of the alleged criminals.

The suspects – identified as Usman and Zubair – are said to be involved in more than 100 acts of street crime and two murders. They are accused of killing a state witness and a man who resisted robbery.

In another raid in Karachi, police arrested a suspected Lyari gang member accused of four target killings.

Naeem alias Sando was taken into custody and interrogated. Police said more raids will be conducted in light of the information extracted from the suspect.

Rangers - with the help of police - are leading a targeted operation to cleanse the city of criminals elements. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had said the operation will continue until the city was crime-free.

Cool Breeze | 10 years ago | Reply @ Karachiite This practice will always continue to satisfy the public. Ideally, the innocent people should now start wearing such trowsers / jeans having their names printed in large bold capital letters.....
