Assailants nabbed: Another police mobile attacked in Karachi

Barely a day after six policemen were killed in attacks on police vans in Karachi’s Landhi neighbourhood, another police vehicle came under attack in Baldia Town on Sunday night.


The latest attack on the police van of the Ittehad Town police station took place when a police mobile was on routine patrolling in Abidabad area of Baldia Town.

The mobile of the Ittehad Town police station was on routine patrol in Abidabad area of Baldia Town when at least four armed men riding two motorcycles attacked it.

“Fortunately, none of our men were killed or injured in the attack,” said Baldia division SP Malik Muhammad Ehsan. “Our jawans quickly responded and also managed to arrest the attackers.”

SP Ehsan said that two attackers, who were of Afghan origin and identified as Saddam Hussain and Abdul Ghani, were arrested along with weapons, while two of their companions managed to escape.
