KARACHI:

Four-time champions Wapda thrashed Afghan FC 3-0 in the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) match in Lahore on Sunday.

Afghan FC braved Wapda in the second half with a more defensive approach, but seasoned striker Arif Mehmood doubled the lead in the 81st minute and sealed the win three minutes later.

Wapda continued on third place. They also have 59 points like KRL and KESC, but lag behind the two league leaders on goal difference.
