The Golra police apprehended three persons for allegedly distributing fake currency notes on Saturday.
On a tip-off, a police party raided the residence of the alleged suspects and took them into custody along with large number of fake currency notes.
They have been identified as Adil Hussain, Muhammad Shafiq and Ehtesham Ahmed, said an official.
Separate cases have been registered against them and investigations are under way.
