ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan attached great importance to its relationship with New Zealand and is keen to benefit from its expertise in agriculture, health and food processing. Speaking to Foreign Minister of New Zealand Murray McCully, Hussain urged the need for rigorous steps to enhance bilateral trade volume through increased cooperation. “We invite New Zealand to avail the investment opportunities in areas including trade, energy, infrastructure, agriculture and dairy farming,” he said, adding that the inaugural meeting of Pakistan-New Zealand Joint Trade Committee (JTC) had led to the enhancement of bilateral economic ties. Emphasising the need for mutual exchange of visits, he said such interactions would help promote people-to-people contacts besides improving bilateral relations. McCully said that New Zealand valued its relations with Pakistan and emphasised on exploring ways to enhance bilateral relations.
