Pakistan U19 recorded a 17-run win over Afghanistan in the second one-day match played at the Qaddafi stadium in Lahore.


Batting first, the hosts scored 238 in the allotted 45 overs. Captain Sami Aslam continued his rich vein of form scoring 71 off 86 balls, playing an innings which included three sixes and six boundaries.


In reply, Hashmatullah Sahidi played a knock of 82 runs for the tourists, but Afghanistan failed to overhaul the score.


They bowled out for 221 in the final over of their innings.


Meanwhile, Ziaul Haq, with two wickets for 31 runs, was the best bowler for Pakistan.
